Postural Exercises Can Help TMJ
Good posture will naturally correct your jaw alignment. Go ahead and try it. Stand straight and feel what happens to your jaw as it moves back into proper, healthy position.

Jaw hurt? It Could Be Your Posture.
What is TMJ?
It its an abbreviation for the temporomandibular joint in the human jaw (where the jaw bone meets the skull).
When you have poor posture and your spine is out of alignment, it affects the muscles that run up through the neck and into the jaw.
When these muscles are out of alignment they can affect the movement of your jaw.
The human jaw can exert up to 200lbs of force with pressure up to 2000lbs per sq. inch!
Biting down with a misaligned jaw can create an amazing amount of stress in the jaw and throughout your skull. which leads to sore jaw muscles, headaches & teeth erosion. If poor posture is not corrected with postural exercises, the jaw can get further and further out of alignment and the symptoms get worse. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms then, by all means, do postural exercises and watch what happens.
Needless to say, proper jaw alignment is a nice benefit to having correct posture.
