BETTER SLEEP PILLOW PROS:
- Shape of pillow allows for the arm to comfortably slide underneath center of pillow, which helps maintain good neck alignment for ‘side sleepers’.
- Effectiveness is hit or miss. Basically have to try it (usually at the store) to see if the Better Sleep Pillow works for you.
- Can relieve morning neck and shoulder pain.
BETTER SLEEP PILLOW CONS:
- There are numerous negative better sleep pillow reviews on Amazon stating that pillow makes morning neck pain worse.
- There are also numerous reviews stating that the Better Sleep Pillow has a noxious ‘gas’ smell that never goes away.
- Relatively expensive for a pillow.
Why BODY-ALINE is Better for Your Posture:
The Better Sleep Pillow may help align your neck and shoulder muscles while sleeping, which could mean less back & neck pain in the morning and a better night's sleep. However, it won't do much to help your posture when you're not sleeping.
In essence, it's virtually impossible to buy any type, style or brand of sleeping posture pillows, mattresses or accessories and really expect it to promote good posture during your waking hours. This requires targeted stretching & strengthening exercises, which are impossible to do while sleeping.
Nevertheless, if the Better Sleep Pillow (or any other type of sleep posture product) enhances your comfort while sleeping, then feel free to use it (or them) in conjunction with the BODY-ALINE. Just don't expect sleeping alignment aids to fully correct your waking posture. Many have asked the questions: "Do posture pillows work?" and "Are posture pillows effective?" Although I don't use a Better Sleep Pillow, I do use three, yes three, different memory foam pillows to position myself comfortably in bed with proper alignment. I even bring these pillows on the road and I wouldn't trade them for the world. So, if there’s a certain type of pillow (or pillows) that you think will help you sleep with better alignment & lessen your back & neck pain in the morning, then, by all means, buy it. Just don’t expect it (or them) to permanently correct your posture for the rest of the day, as the BODY-ALINE does."
